GE signs $575m agreement to supply locomotives to Egyptian National Railways

General Electric (GE) has signed a letter of intent with the Egyptian Ministry of Transportation (MoT) and Egyptian National Railways (ENR) to supply ENR with 100 GE ES30ACi Light Evolution Series Locomotives. The $575-million deal also includes technical training aimed at improving the capabilities and technical skills of more than 275 ENR engineers and employees in the region.
